Wedding Tips:
The Wedding Flower Calendar
Flowers will definitely be attending your wedding. Are you aware of the proper timeline associated with making sure they are looking their best on your wedding day? The following article offers suggestions to help you prepare the flora for your big event.
Florist Tip #1 - One year to wedding
Start making a scrapbook of flowers and arrangements you find appealing
Ask your wedding venue if they have an in-house florist available
Florist Tip #2 - Nine months before the wedding
Think of the attire of the wedding party in order to get a sense of what flowers will complement it well
Start looking for florist services- narrow your search down to three to five vendors -make a sheet of comparisons and contrasts
Make appointments to speak with your florist service finalists
Florist Tip #3 - Six months before the wedding
Get your order finalized
Visit the venue with your florist to inspire any additional ideas
Pay any deposits or consultation fees
Keep in regular contact with your florist to discuss alterations
Florist Tip #4 - One month before the wedding
Have a meeting with your florist to confirm all needed arrangements, along with location and time of delivery
Discuss when the bill will be paid
Check with the venue that the florist will be able to set up at the designated time
Florist Tip #5 - The week before the wedding
Schedule a visit to the florist -view the arrangements -discuss any last-minute changes
Make sure the florist has your contact number in the case of an emergency issue
Florist Tip #6 - The Wedding Day
Have the flowers delivered about three hours before the ceremony
Have the florist check flowers and arrangements for damage caused in transit
Store any buttonholes and corsages in a refrigerated place until later
Dry off stems of bouquet a half an hour before the ceremony in order to avoid staining the dress
