Disc Jockeys - Picking Your Music

Most disc jockeys (DJs) will meet with you one on one about 3 weeks before the big day to go over the music. It’s up to you! This is the most important part to remember! This is also your opportunity to "black list" those 3 songs you just can't stand. Consider the following:

The Top 3 "buzz killer" wedding songs.
  1. "Macarena": This song ranks as the #1 requested "not to play" song by brides and grooms. It was a great song in the last 90's to dance to but younger to mid-age couples agree that it provides an excellent opportunity to let your feet rest for some time.
  2. "The Electric Slide": Most couples agree that they do not want this song played at their wedding. It always seems as though it is always played at the worse time, when everyone is having a blast, here comes the electric slide to remind everyone that it's time to sit down and relax for 5 minutes.
  3. "Cha-Cha Slide": The "cha cha slide" started as a popular dance song in the Midwest and in the early 2000s slowly made its way over to the east coast. This is a well-known "one-hit-wonder" and over the last few years, brides and grooms have been requesting it not to be played more and more.
